Psychotherapy and teleconsultation

Ghaïst practices psychotherapy in French, English, and Spanish. He began his career as a psychologist in 2003 working in a hospital setting in rural Quebec.  In 2006 he established his private practice in Montreal where he has worked until 2020.  Since then, he has continued to work in various clinical settings across the province. In his work Ghaïst uses double theoretical perspective, that is, cognitive-behavioral and humanistic-relational.

Ghaïst believes in collaborative work with other professionals in order to ensure optimum client care. He does so on the basis of establishing a comprehensive clinical assessment and corresponding therapeutical goals.

His individual practice consists of:

  • Teleconsultation via telephone and through a web platform : Zoom or Facetime
  • Conducting psychological assessment
  • Treatment of mental health issues and other life’s problematics:
    • acute stress and critical incident & stress situations
    • phobias and panic disorders
    • mood disturbances, such as depression and burnout
    • relational difficulties
    • final stages of life and grief
    • substance abuse and other addictions
    • life crisis or search for sense
  • Applying the EMT (Eye Movement Technique) to “negative” emotions (stress, fear, apprehension, insecurity, anxiety, rage, helplessness, jealousy, guilt).
